The story occurs in England after the Second World War. It's about a gang who plans and destroys Mr. Thomas' (Old Misery) house, because they do not trust in his kind acts. For ex: when he gives them sweets.
The main characters are:
T.: He's chosen to plan the attack to Old Misery house. He's quite disturbed because he does not have a good relationship with his dad.
Blackie: He's the leader of the gang. He rules with democracy, something strange because in gangs there is no such thing.
Old Misery: He's old and kind. He offers some sweets to T. He's the owner of the house that is being destroyed.
I didn't like the meaning of the story, so I also didn't like the story. The end was not what I expected, it was rude to laugh at Old Misery. Also I didn't like the way that the gang members behave, it was totally strange.
